Ben’s Pledges For Holyrood
Having lived in Holyrood all his life no-one knows the issues affecting the people of
Holyrood more than Ben Shatliff. Ben has been listening to what the people of
Holyrood have been saying and he is proud to announce Four Pledges, which he
wishes to work on:
A Better Public Transport for all | Ben knows the problems facing
residents in Simister with the buses and other parts of the ward and he wants to be
able to fight for more buses and better links with the Metrolink to help everybody.
Safer Pavements for all | Ben has seen how the pavements and streets
have been neglected across the ward and he wants to make sure that all our
pavements and roads are fit for everybody to walk on without any problems.
Ben Says No to a Tax on Horses | Ben has heard of a possible
introduction of a Tax for people who ride Horses. Having grow up in Holyrood and
seen many people ride Horses, Ben is totally against this and will fight for the
people affected.
A continued fight to save the Longfield Suite | Ben is aware of the
recent reprieve for the Longfield Suite but this is for twelve months, Ben wants the
Longfield Suite to remain as a civic hall as well as new shops for everybody to
enjoy as we have the best civic hall in the Borough.
